About NEFERTEX
Nefertex is a Dutch flax specialist based in the Netherlands. We source scutched flax, hackled sliver and tow directly from named farms in Gharbia Governorate, Egypt — and supply spinning mills and fiber traders across Europe. Every shipment is SGS certified, fully traceable from field to mill, and backed by complete export documentation. A supply partner. Not just a trader.

Scutched Flax
A Scutched flax is raw linen fiber at its purest form. After retting and breaking, the woody stem is mechanically removed — leaving long clean bundles of natural flax fiber. Available in custom grades, lengths and fineness to match your exact production specification.

Hackled in Sliver
Hackled flax in sliver is the finest form of long linen fiber. Scutched flax is drawn through precision metal combs — straightening, cleaning and aligning every fiber into a continuous, silky ribbon. Available in a wide range of grades to match your exact spinning specification.
Hackled Tow
Hackled tow is short flax fiber separated during the hackling process — cleaner, finer and more refined than scutched tow. Consistent in quality and lower in shive content, it is the preferred short fiber grade for quality yarn spinning and technical applications. Graded to your exact specification
Scutched Tow
Scutched tow is the short fibre produced during the scutching process. Robust, versatile and available in flexible quantities — ideal for industrial yarn, nonwoven fabric and technical applications. Graded to your exact specification.
ABOUT US
Not every company in the linen industry can say they grew up with the fiber, Nefertex can.
Our founders — were both born in Gharbia, Egypt's historic linen region. They did not learn about Egyptian flax from a catalogue. They grew up with it.
That lived experience, combined with engineering expertise and European reliability and standards, is what sets Nefertex apart.
